How to make French Toast at Home

French toast is a delicious and easy breakfast dish that can be made with just a few simple ingredients. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to make French toast at Home:

– 4 slices of bread (stale bread works best)

– 2 large eggs

– 1/2 cup of milk

– 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

– 1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon (optional)

– Butter or cooking oil for frying

– Maple syrup, fruit, or powdered sugar for serving (optional)

1. Preheat a skillet or non-stick frying pan over medium heat.

2. In a shallow bowl or pie dish, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, and ground cinnamon (if using) until well combined.

3. Dip each slice of bread into the egg mixture, allowing the bread to soak for a few seconds on each side. Make sure both sides of the bread are evenly coated with the egg mixture.

4. Melt a small amount of butter or heat a small amount of cooking oil in the preheated skillet.

5. Place the soaked bread slices in the skillet, cooking a few at a time, depending on the size of your skillet. Cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and crispy.

6. Remove the cooked French toast from the skillet and place it on a plate lined with a paper towel to soak up any excess oil or butter.

7. Repeat the dipping and cooking process with the remaining slices of bread until all the French toast is cooked.

8. Serve the French toast warm and garnish with maple syrup, fresh fruit, powdered sugar, or any other desired toppings.

Enjoy your homemade French toast as a delicious and comforting breakfast treat!
